The 40th Anniversary Mustang GT-R came from the mind of Ford senior designer Keith Rogman. It delivered a robust 440 hp but could have been 500 ponies with a little massaging, editor at large Dutch Mandel said then. It came with adjustable shocks, coilover springs and a strut tower brace, which sent Ford fans racing to their parts catalogs looking to replicate the pumpkin-colored ponycar.
