Concept cars are cool in their own right, but auto designers also spend time designing non-car products — the results are often dazzling. Some turn into merchandise (to expand the brand) while others are relegated to the concept phase of the design process. Either way, automakers come up with some … unique products sans engine and wheels, and Car Magazine compiled a list of some of the strangest.

Mazda, for example, designed a sofa inspired by the stance of its CX-3 crossover. It certainly looks cool, though we’d need an entire set before we would consider buying it. Get on that, Mazda — the living room needs a Kodo makeover.
