Porsche brought turbocharged horsepower to the new 964 chassis for 1991, using a version of the older car's 3.3-liter flat six. But even with a vintage engine, the new coil-spring suspension and limited slip differential helped quell some of the older Turbo's homicidal oversteering tendencies. As Mark Vaughn opines, "looks have never been cheap"…though with hindsight, the 1991 911 Turbo's list price of $95,000 sounds like a bargain.
