Junkyard Treasure: 1982 Alfa Romeo GTV-6

By 1982, MG and Triumph had departed the United States market and Fiat had one foot out the door, but Alfa Romeo stood firm in the face of menacing sporty-car competition from Japan and offered both the Spider and the GTV-6. The latter car was an Alfetta fastback coupe with the best-sounding V6 engine you could buy in a street car (most other V6s made mournful malfunctioning-pinniped noises), and enough were sold that I still find them every so often during my junkyard travels. Here's one in a Denver-area self-service wrecking yard.
