More proof that heartfelt notes to the tow truck driver don’t work

Why do vehicles end up in wrecking yards? Sometimes they just wear out and aren't worth fixing, sometimes they're totaled wrecks bought by insurance companies and then unloaded for scrap value… and often they were parked in the wrong place at the wrong time. During my frequent travels to big self-service wrecking yards, I find many doomed vehicles still displaying pleading notes from final owners, directed to the tow-truck driver those owners knew to be on the way. We have some examples of these notes from my collection, and now there's a new type: the car that shouldn't be towed because it's about to be donated to charity.
