If your current Porsche Cayenne doesn’t feel fast enough, don’t worry: The new one should. The 2019 Porsche Cayenne Turbo debuting at the Frankfurt motor show can rocket to 60 from a standstill in 3.7 seconds and keep accelerating until the speedometer hits 177 mph. Of course, that 0-60 time only happens when the new Cayenne is equipped with the optional Sport Chrono Package.

Under the 2019 Cayenne Turbo’s hood is a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 that sends 550 hp and 567 lb-ft of torque to an eight-speed Tiptronic S automatic transmission. Like the latest Mercedes-AMG engines, the 4.0-liter’s twin-turbochargers are placed inside the cylinder V between the cylinder heads in the so-called "hot inside V" layout. This design allows for the engine package to be more compact, which translates to it being placed lower in the car.

Helping keep the new Cayenne stuck to the ground is a new three-chamber air suspension setup. The air ride system has six height levels and can be manually changed to suit the road. The height can also be automatically controlled by the five different drive modes, which also affect other chassis settings and differential locking. An electric roll stabilization system (Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control), rear-axle steering and a torque vectoring system are all optional, but probably worth the extra dough.

The new Porsche Cayenne Turbo is expected to hit showrooms this fall and will start at $125,650. Of course, all the optional go-fast goodies can drive that price up considerably.
