Just a few days into his prime-time gig on Fox News, and it’s already time for conservative pundit Jesse Watters to take a break.
During his show on Wednesday he said he’s going on vacation with his family. “I’ll be back on Monday, so don’t miss me too much,” he added.
Fair enough. The limelight can be tough.
But many are questioning whether his plans for a long weekend were of his own volition. After all, he’s fresh off getting roasted for what many perceived to be lewd comments about Ivanka Trump’s speech at a recent conference.
‘It’s funny. The left says they really respect women and then when given an opportunity to respect a woman like that they boo and hiss … so I don’t really get what’s going on here, but I really liked how she was speaking into that microphone.’
This after Bill O’Reilly was chased out amid a sexual scandal of his own.
At any rate, Watters’s words without context don’t really tell the whole story. Just watch the video and decide for yourself whether he was way out of line or if the PC police are at it again:
For his part, Watters tweeted Wednesday that he absolutely wasn’t engaging in the kind of locker-room talk that almost — but not really — got our president in trouble during the election campaign.
On air I was referring to Ivanka's voice and how it resonates like a smooth jazz radio DJ. This was in no way a joke about anything else.

Watters is no stranger to courting controversy on Fox
. In this segment on “The O’Reilly Factor,” he was slammed for racism during a Chinatown visit:
