President Donald Trump said Wednesday that he has to pass a health-care law before moving on to overhaul the tax code.
“We’re going to have phenomenal tax reform but I have to do health care first.”
On Fox Business Network, Trump said that repealing and replacing Obamacare will result in savings of perhaps $900 billion.
“That’s all going back into taxes,” he said. It is “the additional money so that we can get great tax reform.”
He added that Republicans didn’t “fail” on health care. “We haven’t failed. We’re negotiating and we continue to negotiate.”
Trump also discussed issues including North Korea and Syria.
