PHILADELPHIA — Spring has sprung and the sound of baseballs smacking off wooden bats is in the air.
Baseball season is just days away and the Philadelphia Phillies are preparing to give fans an experience that goes way beyond the diamond.
Aramark and the Phillies invited season ticket holders to Citizens Bank Park Monday to sample new stadium fare, check out the latest fashions, and get the scoop on all the fun planned for the upcoming season.

Fresh Phillies Fare
For the first time ever, Primo Hoagies will bring their sandwiches to Citizens Bank Park. Michael Pieciuk, owner of the stadium’s new Primo Hoagies, can’t wait to offer the most popular sandwiches on his menu at the ballpark.
“It’s perfect timing,” he said. “We’re excited and proud to be able to represent at the ballpark.”
There will be something for everyone, including the Bada Bing and the Bada Boom.
“The Bada Boom has long hots, and the Bada Bing has broccoli rabe,” Pieciuk said. “The sharp provolone with the chicken and spicy peppers is an amazing treat.”
Harry the K’s, the popular, sit-down restaurant located in the outfield (inside the stadium), has several unique new menu items for the 2017 season including a Falafel Sandwich, a Pastrami Sausage and the Farmer’s Grain Bowl has toasted red quinoa, brown rice, sweet peppers, cucumbers, radish, and baby herbs, and is finished with a honey balsamic vinaigrette.

Chaddsford Winery will offer a sweet summer Sangria made at their winery in Pennsylvania. Lauren Pasquini, Chaddsford communications manager, said the Sangria was very well received at the preview event, and will be perfect for hot summer games.
Maker’s Mark bourbon whiskey and Jim Beam Apple whiskey will also be available at various bars throughout the ballpark.
Every fan needs the perfect Jersey or T-shirt to wear to the game, and Citizens Bank Park’s Majestic Clubhouse Store has plenty of new fashions to sport for the season.
There is a new line of clothing brandishing the Phillies “P” which is all American made and created with recycled products. The SustainU Ware line features a women’s baseball-style shirt with a feather depicted on the front above the Phillies logo.
The Phillies College Cap line by New Era features baseball hats with the Phillies logo along with the colors and logos for schools such as Temple, Drexel, Villanova, and more.

On certain nights, baseball is not the only thing celebrated at Citizens Bank Park. Entertainment, education, awareness, and heritage are just a few of the theme nights planned for Phillies games this season. Not only is there themed entertainment throughout the game, but fans who purchase tickets through theme night packages have a chance at getting special keepsakes. On Aug. 26, the Phillies present Star Trek Night: The Next Generation 30th Anniversary Night where lucky fans will receive an exclusive Phillies Captain Picard bobblehead figurine. The Phillies will also celebrate the 50th anniversary of “You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown” on July 5 with an exclusive bobblehead depicting Charlie Brown wearing a Phillies cap. All the favorite theme nights like Star Wars Night, Irish Heritage Night and Bark at the Park are being planned now, so watch for details.

Even though the Phillies first game of the season is an away event, fans can gather across the street from the ballpark at Xfinity Live! for an Opening Day Watch Party hosted by Xfinity and CSN Philly. The first 500 fans in attendance receive a free cheesesteak and a free drink. There will also be free hot dogs, games and giveaways such as autographed items, game tickets, and Phillies swag.
Once the team comes back home, visit the park and check out the new All-star Walk in Ashburn Alley. Michael Harris, director of marketing and special projects said the new All-star Walk features red pavers with the name, position, and year of each Phillie who was ever chosen for the MLB All-star team.
The Phillies home opener is April 7 and will feature the annual opening day block party with games, food, live entertainment, a Ferris wheel and the Budweiser Clydesdales.
