This time around their card features 2017 WWE Hall of Fame inductee and New Jersey native Diamond Dallas Page, former WWE stars The Blue Meanie and Hornswoggle, Impact Wrestling’s Moose, Kevin Matthews, and Fallah Bahn, and New Japan’s Michael Elgin. NEW JERSEY FOLK FESTIVAL: The 43rd annual New Jersey Folk Festival will strum its way into the hearts of Central Jersey this Saturday. Performing at the festival this year includes longtime Jersey folk staple Spook Handy, Frank Watson, Roger Deitz, McDermott’s Handy, Pete McDonough, as well as traditional Irish, Turkish, and Leni Lenape performances. The festival hosts a bluegrass showcase as well. MONSTER ENERGY SUPERCROSS AT METLIFE STADIUM: MetLife Stadium gets supercharged this weekend. The stadium plays host to nitro-charged Monster Energy Supercross’s “Drop the Gate” event this Saturday. Riders include: Jersey’s own Justin Barcia, Ryan Dungey, Chad Reed, and James Stewart. This event is important in the standings for the Supercross championship season. MONTCLAIR FILM FESTIVAL: The Montclair Film Festival will be a star-studded affair. The festival runs Friday through Sunday, May 8 at the following venues: Cinema505, Alexander Kasser Theater, Bow Tie Bellevue Cinemas, Bow Tie Claridge Theater, Montclair Kimberley Academy, and The Wellmont Theater. There will dozens of movies shown throughout the festival’s run, and there will be some major names on hand.
