Andre Iguodala has assisted Klay Thompson on 184 buckets as teammates on the Warriors.
Iguodala likes to help Thompson off the floor, too, including on his fashion choices.
“Klay should wear staple pieces. He should wear the same thing every day,” Iguodala told Bleacher Report. “He should dress like a Silicon Valley startup CEO.”
The reality, though, is that Thompson attempts too many variations.
“(He) doesn’t know which way he wants to go,” Iguodala said.
At least Thompson tries, unlike some other Warriors — who are under intense scrutiny because of recent success and a convergence of stars.
“There’s just so much going on. Everyone’s following you. Your every move is being watched,” Iguodala told Bleacher Report. “So a lot of our guys go in sweats — just put on some sweats and a hoodie and just zip it on tight and just keep our head down.”
Iguodala is not in that crowd.
“I’m wearing a blazer, like, all the time. That’s my go-to,” he said. “A blazer, and I can just figure out if I want to wear jeans or slacks. Turn it into a suit. I can wear a turtleneck. I can wear a button-up (or a) gray tee.”
Iguodala often dons a Gucci overcoat on cold game days in the Bay Area and can browse his collection 300 shoes for the best match. His favorite is the Jordan 1 and he also owns the Golden State Nike Air Max 1 Bespokes he designed a year ago.
Thompson is sponsored by Anta, however, so he’s likely to mostly wear those.
