Bay Area Sports Insiders: How are the Warriors handling Steve Kerr’s absence?

When the Warriors and Jazz tip off in the Western Conference Semifinals on Tuesday, Steve Kerr will again be absent from the sideline.

Kerr continues to deal with symptoms related to complications from the back surgery he underwent two years ago. The Warriors are no longer providing daily health updates on his condition and are preparing to play the rest of the playoffs without their head coach.

Mike Brown has taken over Kerr’s duties on an interim basis and will lead the team in Game 1 (and likely Game 2) of the conference semis.

On this episode of Bay Area Sports Insiders, Courtney Cronin is joined by Anthony Slater and Tim Kawakami to discuss how Golden State has worked through Kerr’s absence, how Brown’s experience as a head coach with the Cavaliers and Lakers will benefit the Warriors down the stretch and the contributions and support the team has received from its other assistant coaches.
