That was the essence of what Raiders offensive lineman Donald Penn told TMZ the team should do.
Asked if he hopes Marshawn Lynch comes to the Raiders, Penn said what you might expect — both from an offensive lineman who would block for Lynch and, apparently, as his homie.
“I hope the Raiders do get Marshawn. That’s my dog,” Penn said. “That’s all I’m going to say.”
The two-time Pro Bowl tackle left it at that as the rest of us continue to speculate over whether Lynch will play for his hometown Oakland Raiders.
The running back reportedly visited the Raiders on Wednesday and seemingly has the blessing of Seahawks GM John Schneider if he wants to un-retire and return to the NFL. Seattle would have to release Lynch’s rights or trade them to Oakland.
Penn hopes that happens.
