As impactful as Draymond Green was in Sunday’s playoff opener, there is room for improvement.
At least that’s the apparent tone of a Twitter post by Mary Babers-Green after the Warriors win over the Blazers.
DRAY FT PRACTICE TONIGHT AFTER THE GAME!
— WARRIORMOM (@BabersGreen) April 16, 2017
Green went 4 for 7 from the foul stripe, including two makes with 1:15 remaining in the game that kept the Warriors well ahead of Portland. Three misses from there, though, seemed to signal a need for extra practice to Babers-Green.
Given, his 57 percent on FTs is well below the 70.9 he averaged this season — his best since a rookie season in which he took just 55 free throws.
Still, many would given Green a pass on that aspect of his game Sunday since he was otherwise hellacious. A game-high plus-15 came from his 19 points, 12 rebounds and nine assists — nearly his 22nd triple-double — along with five blocks and three steals.
Babers-Green clearly expects the best from her baby.
