The Warriors, 13-0 in the postseason, are coming off a convincing 113-91 win Thursday night in which Kevin Durant dominated the Cavaliers on his way to 38 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Cleveland, however, needs only to look at last year’s Finals to realize losing to the Warriors in Game 1 is hardly disastrous. The Cavs, as we’ve been reminded countless times, rebounded from a 3-1 series deficit a year ago.

In addition, the Game 1 loser has gone on to win the championship in four of the past six NBA Finals.

LeBron James had 28 points and 15 rebounds and teammates Kyrie Irving (24 points) and Kevin Love (15 points, 21 rebounds) also played well in Game 1. However, 20 turnovers to the Warriors’ four and Golden State’s 14 offensive rebounds helped seal the Cavs’ fate.

In addition to Durant’s huge Game 1 performance, the Warriors benefited from Stephen Curry’s brilliance as the two-time MVP scored 28 points and hit 6 3s while doing it.

Here are the projected starting lineups:

Warriors

C Zaza Pachulia
PF Draymond Green
SF Kevin Durant
SG Klay Thompson
PG Stephen Curry

Cavaliers

C Tristan Thompson
PF Kevin Love
SF LeBron James
SG J.R. Smith
PG Kyrie Irving
