The Sharks are firing social media salvos ahead of their first-round playoff series with the Oilers.

In an attempt to play on Edmonton’s team name, the Sharks concocted the hashtag #WreckTheRig for several posts on Twitter.

The A’s also got in on the action. They backed their Bay Area counterpart with an image of outfielder Khris Davis raking a hockey stick against Oilers goalie Cam Talbot — plus offered mascot Stomper as a sub for Sharkie.

“If you need reinforcements, Khris Davis knows a little something about going top shelf,” the A’s tweeted.

Oilers fans had a bit of fun in responding to the Sharks’ initial trolling of Edmonton.
