Forget that movie-and-popcorn pairing — at least until a new NBA champ is crowned.
Oakland’s New Parkway Theater is calling itself “the second-best place to watch the Warriors playoffs (after Oracle Arena).”
From now through the finals, the theater will show all Warriors games on their two living-room-size movie screens, with tickets just $10 apiece. (Bring your own Golden State gear.)
And there’s a fun menu to match. The theater’s executive chef, Charles Henderson, has created a number of dishes inspired by the Warriors of the present and past: Curry Fried Chicken with Draymond Greens, KD for Three (deviled eggs), Iggy Fries (beer-cheese fries with blue cheese), PizZaZa (the calzone of the week), Captain Jack (a Cap’n Crunch chicken sandwich with coleslaw) and Run TMC (a triple macaroni-and-cheese named in honor of the trio of Tim Hardaway, Mitch Richmond and Chris Mullin).
The regular New Parkway menu, beer, wine and traditional movie favorites will also be available.
Advance purchase of viewing tickets is recommended at http://warriors.thenewparkway.com, and seats may not be saved after tipoff time. The theater’s at 474 24th St. in the Uptown district.
